Ever thought ‘I’d love to teach one day’? This is your sign. Whether you’re a long-time client, or brand new to LA, we’re looking for great energy, a willingness to learn and a love for movement.

WHY START YOUR TEACHING JOURNEY WITH LA?

We support our trainers from the very first day of their teaching journey. As soon as you are qualified, you’ll learn the ‘LA-way’ from our Head Trainers and Mentors, then be paired with a Mentor for ongoing support, inspiration and feedback.

Beyond that, LA provides career pathways through mentoring, team training, studio co-ordinating and team leader roles. Teaching at LA could be just the beginning.

HOW TO APPLY

  • Get to know us - read more here, check out our socials, or take an LA class!

  • Apply via the button below and answer with as much detail as possible so we can get to know you.

  • If you’re chosen, we’ll pay for a certification course that works for you (e.g. United Health, Barre Body)

  • Upon completing your certification, you’ll enter LA Training Academy to learn the LA style

  • After graduating LA Training Academy, we’ll assign you a mentor and you’ll start shadow shifts.

  • Before you know, you’re teaching at LA!

YOUR
PILATES CERTIFICATION? IT’S ON US

We’re looking for lucky applicants to be chosen to have their pilates certification course paid for, before starting with the LA team.

This means you need absolutely NO prior pilates teaching experience to apply. We are looking for someone who is serious about launching their pilates career and is willing to commit to working with LA longterm - we’re in it for the long-haul here!

It’s important to us that every LA trainer brings a caring, positive and unique vibe, to ensure that LA classes are the best part of our clients’ day.

FAQ

EVERYTHIng YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE APPLYING

  • Sadly, no! Our studios sit across Melbourne, Adelaide and Canberra. Please take a look at our studio pages for specific locations and check that you live in a reasonable commuting distance to one or more of our studios before applying.

  • It’s important to us that you have attended pilates classes before, so you know you love it as much as we do! We often find that there’s a natural client-to-trainer Pilates-loving progression, but you don’t have to be an expert to be the ‘right fit’ for our LA Trainer Family. We’re looking to invest in someone’s Pilates Certification, so we’re expecting you won’t have experience teaching before.

  • LA Pilates trainers are mostly on casual contracts with a written commitment of taking 15+ classes per week. It’s important to us that we give trainers enough classes to earn the money they need, but not so many that anyone gets burnt out. Energy is everything.

    As you develop and learn, LA can offer further career progression, like mentoring, Head Trainer roles, Studio Co-Ordinator roles and even Team Leader roles.

  • We will work with you to find the best certification course for you.

    You’ll also need to be available to complete our LA Training Academy after your Certification, before you launch into teaching!

  • Yes! You must:

    • Be available to complete your Pilates Certification (through a mutually agreed provider) within 2 months of being chosen as our lucky applicant

    • Have flexibility to teach 15+ classes per week once certified and LA-trained

    • Commit to teaching with Love Athletica for a minimum 12 month term

    • Be a confident, energetic, friendly and outgoing personality who will strive to make lasting connection with clients and bring care to every interaction
