This class is suitable for all levels.
Get ready to get sweaty. Think traditional mat Pilates but redefined. This class is a full-body workout incorporating props to create a dynamic flow around the mat. This class will strengthen and tone as well as increase cardiovascular health due to the heat, and increase mind/body awareness through creative layering and flow.
This 45 minute mat class includes a yoga inspired stretch and flow to finish.

Think heavier weights, more reps and supersets. This class is a fusion of our signature Hot Pilates and functional weight training. Each exercise will be held for a longer duration of time giving you the ultimate full-body burn.

THIS IS OUR INTERMEDIATE CLASS DESIGNED FOR YOU TO PROGRESS
Think more intensity, more reps, no breaks and more challenges.Suitable for those with knowledge of the reformer, this class is designed to challenge and progress your training. This class contains all the fun signature elements of an LA class that you know and love, but we will move faster, have more challenging spring options, and we will dive into playing around with some more advanced movements.
As always, we finish with a yoga inspired stretch and flow.
Recommend completing 5 Athletic classes before trying a PLUS class.

We always recommend booking in advance as classes tend to fill up quickly. If you do drop in and the class is full you are welcome to wait the first 5 minutes and take the spot of a no show.

Please arrive 10 minutes early to your first class. This will allow you time to meet your trainer, and familiarise yourself with the Heated Mat studio and/or the Allegro 2 Reformer Bed.
If you are late to class you may not be able to train. Let your instructor know of any past or present injuries so that they can provide modifications for you. We have filtered chilled water to refill your water bottle (no glass bottles please). We have lockers available with locks to store your valuables during class.
No Towel No Play policy for hot mat. You must byo full-sized towel to lay over your mat, or purchase a sweat towel from reception.
Our classes are high intensity with pumping music and superstar instructors to deliver you a fun active full body Athletic Pilates class.

That depends on the individual. The majority of our new clients do just fine attending an Athletic class which is a lower intensity to our Athletic Plus class. Although the class is still quite intense, classes are broken down using simple exercises so all individuals get the most out of their workout. Our classes are suitable for most ages, sizes, genders and athletic abilities and we offer modifications to suit.
Classes in the hot mat studio are suitable for all levels.

All of our Mat classes are suitable for all levels. Your instructor will give you lots of options to cater for all abilities. Remember it gets hot in the heated room so your heart rate will naturally elevate.
In the Reformer room it is recommended to start with an Athletic class, even if you have done Pilates elsewhere or are quite fit.
Love Athletica Pilates uses a lot of small muscle groups. You may be surprised at how challenging the class is and may need to build up your strength. You may also need to familiarise yourself with the Love Athletica dynamic training method, basic principles and exercises.

Wear comfortable clothes you can sweat, stretch and move in. We recommend gym tights, leggings or shorts and either a t-shirt or singlet top. At Love Athletica, we also encourage grip socks to be worn. Not only do they keep your toes warm but you are also able to grip the Reformer bed better with your feet, making it easier for you to do the exercises properly. Grip socks are available for purchase here at the studio, but you are also welcome to bring your own grip socks.
A full-sized towel is compulsory for hot mat classes. You may purchase our LA sweat towel at reception for $35.

We have lockers at each studio for you to safely store your belongings. We provide filtered & chilled drinking water, a bathroom and change room facilities. We have showers as well as seperate Male & Female toilets.

No you cannot. While we would love to offer the ability for children to wait in reception, unfortunately for health & safety reasons this is not possible while a class is taking place. We also love our furry friends but animals are not to be brought into the studio.

You are welcome to bring your phone into the Reformer studio. Due to the Heat it is not reccomended to bring this into the heated mat studio. We ask that your phone is switched to silent mode during class. Please note that if you choose to bring your phone into the studio, it is at your own risk - as they can be damaged by heavy equipment (we’ve seen it happen). We always encourage the use of your phone prior or after your class. We’d love you to share your Love Athletica experiences on social media. Be sure to tag us @loveathletica.

No. Our classes are suitable for most ages, sizes, genders and athletic abilities and we offer modifications to suit. Classes are broken down using simple exercises so each client can work at their own pace. It is low impact and easy on the joints, however don’t be fooled, this is an energetic group fitness class in which you will sweat! During class, it’s normal for the muscle group you’re working to shake and burn. That’s a good thing!

Your exercise routine is such a personal thing. How often you train will depend on your fitness level, what your fitness goals are, how your body adapts to the training and how well your body can recover. We recommend starting with no more than two to three classes per week and then we can dial it up from there.
BOOKING ETIQueTTE

You have up to 9 hours prior to the start time of your class to cancel and avoid paying for the class you booked. Cancel with more than 9 hours remaining before class start time and your class credit will be placed back into your account for next time. Cancellations within the 9 hour window result in forfeiting your class credit.
If there is an emergency or you suddenly become unwell, we will ask for a medical certificate to reinstate the class you missed. Please note, cancellations can only be made via your Love Athletica App or your Love Athletica Mindbody account - we do not accept cancellations via social media, text, voicemail or email.
Direct debit membership holders will incur a $10 fee for a late cancellation and $15 fee for a no show in either the Heated Mat or Reformer rooms.
Class Pack holders will lose their class if cancelling within the 9hr window. No fees will be charged.

Class packs are sold for Reformer or for Hot Mat classes.
Mat class packs are strictly for the Heated Mat studio use only.

Unfortunately no. Our cancellation policy outlines the procedure we must follow to ensure a consistent and fair playing field for all. If you have booked into a class and cancelled within the 9 hour cancellation window, you will lose the cost of that class.

Please try to arrive 5-10 minutes early to class so your trainer can check you in, and help you get settled into class.
Late arrivals may not be able to join class due to safety reasons. At some studios the door may be locked at the start time for security reasons and you will not be granted entry once the class starts.

When a class is full you can join the waitlist. If a position becomes available you will be notified via email or text message when our system automatically adds you to the class. Please respond to the email or text immediately if you cannot make it. No-shows will result in forfeiting that visit.
Always jump on a waitlist as you’ll most likely get in!
Hot Tip: Ensure you have allowed communication via email AND text in your Love Athletica App or MindBody Account to ensure you are prompted asap and don’t miss a class.
If you do not respond to a text message confirming your place in the class it is your booking to honour. If you reply 9 you will have the class credit returned to your account and you will be providing another client the opportunity to book.

If you have placed yourself on a waitlist, you can receive a notification anytime up to 2 hours prior to that class if a position becomes available. Our system will automatically put you in that class, so please respond to the email or text immediately if you cannot make it as no-shows will result in forfeiting that visit.
By adding yourself to the waitlist it is your responsibility to check if you have been added to the class. Please be mindful that if you are waitlisted for an early morning class as you may still be automatically added to a class overnight if a position becomes available. If you make the decision to not be available for the early morning class before you go to bed, please remove yourself from the waitlist.

The Heated Mat room can cater for approx 20 people while our Reformer room has 16 Allegro 2’s.

Unfortunately no. We are unable to transfer or share classes to a family member or friend. If you are unable to use your classes for a medical or other reason please contact us and we will find a solution for you.

Using your Love Athletica App or your MindBody Account, head to the ‘My Account’ in the menu which will have your packs or membership purchases and also displays how many classes are remaining in each.

Intro offers and certain limited studio-specific offers cannot be used across both locations.

In the unlikely event Love Athetica cancels a class, we will notify you immediately. The class will be placed back into your account.

As a rule, we do not extend Monthly or Casual Packs, however there may be circumstances that we can make an exception for you. Eg: If you are planning a holiday, please be mindful of the pack you purchase and let us know if you require a slight extension around those dates.

The validity of your pack is activated when you book in your first class unless indicated as per Limited Edition Packs. If you booked your class for the 10th January, your pack is activated from this date and the expiry is calculated accordingly. If you then decide to book a class prior to 10th January, the system will automatically ask you to Buy Services. You will need to cancel your class on 10th January and rebook in your first class on the new desired date and then book your additional classes thereafter. All terms and conditions are available on purchase. All purchases are final.

INJURIES PREGNANCY & MINORS

You can attend our dynamic group Reformer pilates classes up until you are 15 weeks along. After this however, due to the dynamic style of training you can no longer attend group classes. Always notify the instructor at each class.
Heated Mat classes are NOT suitable for any stage of your pregnancy.
Any information received will be kept confidential and modifications for pregnancy will be delivered with the utmost discretion. A doctor's approval is required for high risk pregnancies.

We ask that you wait until after you receive the all clear from your 6 week GP/Obstetrician check up.

Yes. You must be over the age of 16 years old to attend a class at Love Athletica. Our dynamic/high intensity classes are not suitable for young developing bodies.

If you have chronic back pain, are coming back from an injury or are pregnant, a one-on-one session with a Physiotherapist prior to attending a group class would be recommended.

Yes our Norwood studio has parking directly behind the studio undercover and within the Building complex. You will find parking entrance 50m to the left of our front entrance.
All Love Athletica studios have free parking available in nearby streets. Best to plan ahead and suss out the parking prior to your first visit. We recommend arriving early just in case parking in the area is busier than usual.
