HOT MAT FAQ

Love Athletica style of Pilates is Athletic, fast paced and strong. We offer both Hot Mat Pilates and Hot Functional Strength classes in our Heated Mat room.

Our signature classes offer a full body workout that fuse elements of Pilates, cardio and strength training, ending with a mindful yoga inspired recovery.

Yes, you can purchase this limited Pre-sale Pack offer and use it in conjunction with your existing Reformer membership or pack.

Please note, the Hot Mat Pre-sale Pack can only be used to book classes in the Hot Mat studio.

Reformer Memberships can not be paused while using the Hot Mat Pre-sale Pack.

Please arrive 10 minutes early to your first class. This will allow you time to meet your trainer and familiarise yourself with the studio.

If you are late to class you may not be able to train. Let your instructor know of any past or present injuries so that they can provide modifications for you.

YOU MUST BYO FULL SIZE SWEAT TOWEL TO LAY OVER YOUR MAT - NO TOWEL NO PLAY POLICY FOR YOUR SAFETY AND THE COMFORT OF OTHERS.

LA full size sweat towels are available for purchase at reception for $29. You will also be able to purchase these online for collection at the studio. Please allow ample time prior to class starting so your instructor has time to locate your order or you may miss or be prevented from taking class if lateness impacts the experience of others.

We provide filtered chilled water to refill your plastic water bottle (no glass bottles please). We have lockers available with locks to store your valuables during class.

Our classes are high intensity with pumping music and superstar instructors to deliver you a fun active full body Athletic Pilates class.

Bring a water bottle and refill via our filtered water fountain and wear light clothing.

We provide complimentary towels for showering only.

Wear comfortable clothes you can sweat, stretch and move in. We recommend gym shorts, tights, leggings or shorts and either a t-shirt or singlet top.

We have 2 Luxe showers (towels for showering provided), 2 toilets, and a vanity bar with GHD hair dryer & straightener, personal lockers and pigeon holes at the studio for you to safely store your belongings and shoes. Please do not take belongings into the studio.

We provide complimentary filtered & chilled drinking water plus a complimentary towel for showering.

Yes. You must be over the age of 16 years old to attend a class at Love Athletica. Our dynamic/high intensity classes are not suitable for young developing bodies.

IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED TO BRING YOUR PHONE INTO THE HEATED ROOM FOR CLASS.

We ask that your phone is switched to silent mode during class. Please note that if you choose to bring your phone into the studio, it is at your own risk - as they can be damaged by heavy equipment (we’ve seen it happen). We always encourage the use of your phone prior to or after your class. We’d love you to share your Love Athletica experiences on social media. Be sure to tag us @loveathletica

All classes in the Mat room are suitable for all levels. Your instructor will give you lots of options to cater for all abilities. Remember it gets hot in the Heated room, your heart rate will naturally elevate.

Your exercise routine is such a personal thing. How often you train will depend on your fitness level, what your fitness goals are, how your body adapts to the training and how well your body can recover. We recommend starting with no more than two to three classes per week and then we can dial it up from there.

Heated Mat Pilates classes are not suitable for any stage of your pregnancy.

You can attend our dynamic group Reformer pilates classes up until you are 15 weeks along. After this however, due to the athletic style of training you can no longer attend group classes. Always notify the instructor at each class.

Any information received will be kept confidential and modifications for pregnancy will be delivered with the utmost discretion. A doctor's approval is required for high risk pregnancies.

Every Hot Mat class at LA promises to incorporate at least one form of equipment including; weighted balls, squishy balls, dumbbells, resistance bands, pilates ring and yoga blocks.

1-2hr Parking is available in Mort, Elouera & Lonsdale streets as well as the Canberra centre free with a purchase.

Directly across Cooyong, on Northbourne hourly parking is available underground at the Avenue Hotel for $3-4 per hour.

All Love Athletica studios have free parking available in nearby streets. Best to plan ahead and suss out the parking prior to your first visit.

Our new Hot Mat Studio fits up to 28 people per class.
