Hot Pilates vs Hot Yoga

One builds strength in the heat. The other restores in it.

Both happen in a warm room. That’s where the similarity ends. Hot Pilates is a strength workout with a sweat. Our Heated Yoga is flow and stillness, taught by yoga teachers. Here’s how to choose, and why they work best together.

The short answer

Pilates builds. Yoga restores.

Hot Pilates uses controlled, repeated moves to build core strength, stamina and muscle, often with weights. Heated Yoga moves through poses and breath to open up mobility and settle your nervous system. Put them in the same week and you get strength, plus the mobility to use it.

The difference

Four classes. One heated room.

How hot is the room?

Hot Mat Pilates runs at 30 to 35°C. Hot Flow runs warm to hot, and Warm Yin is gently warm.

Which is the harder workout?

Hot Pilates usually works your muscles harder. Hot Flow can challenge your mobility and breath. Both are open to all levels, and your instructor will give you options.

Can beginners do hot classes?

Yes. Every class is all levels. Arrive 10 minutes early, bring water and a grip sweat towel, and take a break whenever you need one. Hot Mat and Heated Yoga classes aren’t suitable during pregnancy.
